The project dealt with the application and the sensitivity analysis of a model for surface water and groundwater management. This model is a dynamic model, suitable for a variety of geological layers for real time simulations and is based on the well-known hydrogeological model MODFLOW which is operating under the platform EIS/GWM [Environmental Impact System / for Ground Water (contaminant) Migration Simulations]. The model was successfully applied in the island of Kos and after its proper calibration is able to answer questions of practical use concerning water management issues.
